My dear Uncle,
I am quite unfortunate in making
my visit here at this time, as Mr Starr

weeks, tho' this is altogether uncertain.
If I were to remain here until his return I know
not that it would be possible for me to effect any-
thing more than he will be able to do without
me; and as the disinterment & removal of my mother's
remains is a matter of some moment to me, it seems
necessary that I should return to Chautauque
