Auburn February 27. 1850.
My dear Uncle,
I have accepted an invitation
from Fred Whittlesey
between now and examination with him and I therefore
leave for Rochester this afternoon. I shall return here
next Thursday and on the following Saturday I shall
start for Washington, where I hope to arrive some
time during the succeeding week.
