Albany, Feb. 6 th
My dear Father,
The Burgesses
Corps from here are going
down to the Inauguration. I
understand they propose, on
their arrival, to parade up
in G Street, by way of a
complimentary visit to you –
and subsequently to go to
Gov. Fish’s.
Birth: 1808-08-03 Death: 1893-09-07
They mean to
get there on the morning of
the 3 d of March, and I
thought it would be well
to notify you, as they might
be disappointed by not finding
you at home. If that
time should be inconvenient
to you, please say so to
Mr Cornelius Wendell
Birth: 1813-02-20 Death: 1870-10-09
, the
printer - who I believe provides
their quarters for them – and
he will arrange to have
them come at some other time
Affectionately your son
Frederick
