I have now several letters from
you, unanswered – some of them containing strong
& full expressions of attachment & interest, such
as my poor heart had for a long time
been gratified with from you. They need
a special notice & shall when I have time
to breath receive it – others of business.
Did I not communicate the result of my
application to Colt
