My dear Sister
I was most unexpectedly gratified on Tues-
day last by a visit from my dear Brother

you how happy I was to see him once more, and now I obo
know that he loves me still I cannot be almost reconciled
to the idea if I never should see him again. You never
can know how unhappy it has made me that I must live
in ignorance of all that concerned you. I feel as if I
could never forgive myself for questioning the purity of his
motives – but he does and I pray you to do the same.
I never was happier than to hear and know how you all did
