the last reports, I want
they should send, Moultons chancery practice & the chancery Rules
& also Paine & Duers Practice, and the seventh Volume of John- sons chancery Reports –– Wood has not got these Books and
besides he has had no chancery practice, — I cannot say as he
will be willing to pay for Either these books but if he is not I
will pay for them myself when the bill is presented, - I cannot
do very well without them. And as yet I am not over well
prepared to pass an Examination–– If you will have them sent
to me. I will see and have them paid for,
I wish you would ask the price of Cowens Reports
& Wendells Reports –– Wood has taken to his drinking again
and in all probably his Earthly career will be cut short he can
not hold out much longer, what may happen between him &
me I cannot say –– I hope to Eke out my clerkship in his
office, and then it will not be to my advantage to remain
with him –– I have picked up a pretty fair library saving
Cowen & Wendels Reports and some books of practice – and
would like to buy these could I get them, –– Second hand books
are sometimes sold and these are as good for me as any please
inquire before you come home in Jany how these books can be bought
I suppose you will prepare an address for the family
meeting and under this impression I think there will be none
