Reason: wax-seal last evening I
received a letter from [ Judge ]

afternoon he had
Recd. notice of attachment against the Judges
in the road case[ . ]
Reason: The motion is to be heard
on Thursday week. The Judges state that Mr
Van Duzer
Name: Isaac Van Duzer
Birth: 1802-05-08
Death: 1841-11-27
took the former return and all
the papers from their hands which put it
out of their power to do any thing in the case[ . ]
Reason:
If Mr Van Duzer has not left Albany when
this arrives I beg you to see him on the
subject[ . ]
Reason: If he has left
write to him imme-
diately find where the papers are and have
their business attended to. I am confident
there is something wrong in this affair[ . ]
Reason:
Will you probe it to the bottom and
inform me as a lawyer what I have to
do[ . ]
Reason: If my attorney neglects his duty let
me have the evidence of it and I will
discharge him, something must be
done before I leave the Country.
I anxiously looked for a letter from you
last evening announcing your determina-
tion relative to the [ voige ]

to me it only requires to be understood
to be settled. I feel it a duty to myself
and the interest of the family to take some
confidential friend with me of them
plenty are to be had but I also feel that
every Dollar expended on your travel
would be most beneficially appropriated
and the same expense on any other
person I can select would be lost except
as to attendance in sickness and disas-
ter. One other request, the 21st May is the
day fixed on for sailing. If in the interim
you can procure any letters to friends
they will be acceptable and I shall take

in aranging my business for the Journey.
