My dear Uncle,
I arrived here on Saturday evening last, and
am making my arrangements to leave again for the East on
to-day week. you are aware that I take with me the
sacred relics of a departed Mother
Name: Marcia Seward
Birth: 1794-07-23
Death: 1839-10-25
. Shall I see you
as I pass thro’ Albany?
When you were here I had not determined
whether or not to relinquish my studies, but I am now
inclined to believe it best to return to College. For the
last three years I have been living in New York
Name: City: New York
County:
State: NY

of some eight hundred dollars. to-day I shall write to my
Grand Father
Name: Samuel Seward
Birth: 1768-12-05

telling him I want $500. of him. When
here you remarked that if the funds could not be obtained
of him, they perhaps might elsewhere. can they still be had?
I must see you in Albany, & hope to be there
in some 8 or 9 days after leaving here, but it is impossible
to determine the exact time it takes a line-boat to make
its trip from Buffalo

With love to Aunt Frances
