Solomon P. Jacobs cosigned fifteenth October 1844 to John Farrand
the mortgage by Warranty deed
duly acknowledged and recorded in the Clerk office.
The Assignment of the Bonds and Mortgage by Jacobs to you is
herewith sent, it has been duly acknowledged and recorded
and it contains a guarantee of the Bond & Mortgage
Jacobs is an entirely responsible man and the Security
is abundant, and he is as punctual a man of business as any
in the County. By the assignment interest is payable semi annually.
I find two or three judgments against Jacobs of very small sums
where he was security and which has been paid, he is pro-
curing satisfaction pieces of these and the money will remain
in my hands until they are all Cancelled and a certifi-
cate of that effect will be sent to you together with a
statement by Farrand the mortgage admittedly due notice of
his assignment to you and this the sum of $ 1564.56 is
actually due. Interest will commence from this date the first payment ^of which^ will be
due the 13th day of August 1845.
