Joseph Young is the son of John B. Young and Paulina Schooley Young. He is a second cousin of FMS and LMW. He is born in New York and lives in Deerfield, Lake Co., IL in 1860 with his mother, while her husband is in England. By 1888, he is a resident of Vineland, NJ, where his brother, William Thompson Young is also living. He is an inventor. In 18590101FMS_LMW1, Frances says that Joseph Youngs stopped by and is "in the neighborhood seeking a patent for a husking machine."
