Biography:
Possibly found in 18290728FMS_WHS1. Bronson is pursuing her. Jane Dill marries Philo Henry Perry on June 3, 1833. He was a graduate of Union College and a Counsellor of the Supreme Court of this State. She is born to a rich inheritance....through her as grantee, the title of a large portion of the real estate of Auburn is traced. The grounds where the high school now stands (1877), with several of the adjoining lots were a gift from her father. Dill Street was named for him. She crossed the Isthmus of Panama on a mule, in 1851, to meet him in California, where they went to retrieve the fortune they had lost. Providence was kind to them, they returned to Tarrytown to live, from there they went to Stamford, Conn. 49 years ago last New Years' Eve, she opened the Ball in this place (Auburn) in the old ball room of the Western Exchange. Of those thus assembled survive her twin sister Mrs. Deborah Bronson; S.A. Goodwin of Chicago and Jonathan Bird.
